Many of us might want to save SMS on our iPhones as PDF files. May be just for the kick of it, but it looks very good on PDF files actually. There are a couple of ways you can export text messages to PDF files. One is very cheap, but it needs a jailbroken iPhone and the other one does not require jailbreak, but it’s quite costly.

As stated before, this app requires your iPhone to be jailbroken.
You can download Messages2PDF from the Cydia store for about $1.49. The app is really simple and cool.
Once installed, you can launch the App from your home screen, and the app will show you all the messages on your iPhone. You just select the ones you need to export as PDF. After you’ve exported them to PDF, the app lets you send them as email to yourself with its built-in email function.
PhoneView PhoneView is a thoroughly professional app which brings quite a lot of functionality to your iPhone. PhoneView is actually a backup tool, a very professional backup tool which can be used to backup your call logs, messages, contacts, notes and much more.
In that series, you get the messages option, where you can export them as PDF files too.
The only downside to PhoneView is that although there’s a demo version, the app originally costs $19.95.
Still, if you are intent on having this app to export text messages to PDF files, it’s a very simple and intuitive process on the app.
After installing the app on your Mac, connect your iPhone to the Mac. The app will automatically begin reading all the messages. It lists, after a while, the conversations. You can just select any of them, go to File -> Save as PDF… and voila! A beautiful PDF file is exported for you.
