Who doesn’t love some AOKP goodness? Today we have a great unofficial AOKP ROM for you, built by two of my favorite developers in the Galaxy S III development community, Task650 and ktoonsez as they are known on XDA Developers. You may recognize ktoonsez from his amazing kernals. Currently I’m running his KT747 kernel and getting about 4-5 hours of on screen time, yeah it’s pretty amazing.
We’ve got the complete directions on how to flash the ROM below, but if you have any questions about the ROM itself, I suggest you check out the XDA thread to ask questions or leave your comments.

This tutorial is only for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III (L710)
Read through all the directions first before attempting to flash this ROM
A rooted Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III – L710 with a custom recovery (preferrably Clockworkmod)
Fully charged device, or at least 70% battery remaining. To be sure your device will not power off during the process.
Backup your device before following the instructions below
Copy the files listed above onto your SD card
Reboot into recovery. Power off your device then press Power, Volume Up and Home buttons simultaneously.
Once in Recovery, go to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and confirm you want to wipe the data
Next Select Advanced, and Wipe Dalvik Cache, and confirm that you want to wipe the cache
Go back to the main menu and choose Install zip from SD Card
Now if the zip is on your internal SD card select Choose zip from Internal SD card, if it is on the external SD card, select Choose zip from External SD card.
Select the AOKP ROM zip, and confirm the installation
Next repeat step 6 and select the gapps package, and confirm the installation
Finally Reboot your device.
Congratulations! You should now have AOKP Jellybean on your Samsung Galaxy S III. The first boot may take a while, but if it’s taking 10 minutes or more, you’ll want to pull the battery and go into recovery and repeat the steps above.
