OpenSSH is one of the most important Cydia apps to install after jailbreaking your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. OpenSSH is generally used for secure remote system that lets you access your iDevice file system over a WiFi network with username: root and password: alpine.
Below is a step by step tutorial that will walk you through how to install OpenSSH on jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
First of all launch Cydia from your iDevice SpringBoard.
Now tap on the Search tab and search for “OpenSSH”.
Step 3: Tap on “OpenSSH” when it appears in search result.
Click on ‘Install’ and then on ‘Confirm’ button to get it installed on your iDevice.
Once installation is done, tap on Return to Cydia button.
That’s it! Now you can access filesystem of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch by default username: root and password: alpine.
