Now that iOS 6 Beta 2 has been released, Redsn0w brings you version 0.9.13dev2 which will jailbreak the iOS 6 beta 2.
Jailbreaking is easy with Redsn0w and here’s how to jailbreak iOS 6 Beta 2 on iPhone 4 / 3GS.
Update your iPhone to iOS 6 beta 2 through the OTA update available for developers (or through custom iOS firmware installation).
All set? Let’s begin.
Step 1: Download and run the Redsn0w file.
Step 2: Click on Extras → and then choose Select Custom IPSW
Step 3: Now choose the iOS 6 Beta 1 firmware file you downloaded.
Step 4: The software will identify the firmware you downloaded.
Step 5: Head back and click on Jailbreak.
Step 6: Make sure you have the Install SSH option enabled.
Step 7: The software will take you through putting your iPhone in DFU mode. Do that and you’re set.
Step 8: Wait while the Redsn0w to jailbreak your iPhone.
Step 9: This will be a tethered jailbreak so you will have to connect your iPhone every time you want to boot it.
Note that in the jailbreak you will have to get the iOS 6 beta 1 on the Select IPSW option but you will need to have your iPhone updated to the iOS 6 beta 2.
