While not as big of a feature, if you have an iPhone 6/6 Plus or an iPhone 6S/6S Plus, you can disable the photos that show up when texting friends in Messages. Since these phones are the only ones that show contact photos in the app (probably due to screen size), you can’t do this process on older devices.
To remove these photos, open Settings and tap the Messages entry. Now, you’ll see an option that says Show Contact Photos; go ahead and turn that slider off. Now, you won’t see any pictures when texting your friends in Messages.
You be interested in doing this because you haven’t set up contact photos for friends and are sick of seeing the generic icons, or maybe you don’t really need to look at your friends when you message them and just want more screen space.
is it just me or do the green texting bubbles make you cringe
