Step 1: If your Nokia N8 has had salty water damage or any other type of water damage instead of fresh water then rinse it with fresh water then wipe with a dry towel.
Step 2: Remove everything that can be removed from your Nokia N8.
Step 3: Place your device and the removed components near a heater but not too close or place each component in a separate bowl with uncooked rice.
Step 4: Let it dry for about 5 hours. Do not switch it on yet.
Step 5: In the same manner that the device is, try to see if there is any water.
Step 6: Insert the battery only and try to switch on your Nokia N8, if it works then use it for abit but note that it may not live for long so retrieve all the data you need.
Step 7: Insert all components removed if you think your Nokia N8 will live.
