With Christmas coming up, and all the Kindle Fires that are being bought as surprise presents for children, I've noticed a real need for parents (and other adults) to know how to setup a Kindle Fire for their kids.
I've personally had several friends ask me for help (which of course I don't mind!) as well as helping others online. I realized it was time to show you how to use Amazon's Kindle FreeTime App for Kids!
(Note: The FreeTime app is not available on the first generation Kindle Fire that was released in 2011. If you have this tablet you'll need to see my article on security apps for kids. Also, if you have older kids you might want to set up a password and block specific content instead.)
So if you have a special little person (or two or three) that will be receiving a Kindle Fire for Christmas, be sure to setup the Kindle FreeTime app before you wrap their present. This way it'll be ready to play with as soon as they open it!
I know your kids are going to LOVE the Kindle Fire as much as the kids in my life do! (I've never met a child who didn't love playing on this fabulous tablet, have you?) Also, if you don't already have your own Kindle Fire you might just find that you have to have one too!
