While it’s fairly simpler to silent the iPhone completely, it sometimes isn’t the best solution to go for when trying to silence notifications from apps like Twitter, Skype, Instagram, Facebook etc.
The problem with silencing the iPhone in order to silence notifications that are often annoying – especially if you’re quite active on the networks – is that one might miss calls and important texts too.
There’s a way out of this. You can silence annoying notification sounds in iOS by a longer route: applying the setting to every app which you want to be silenced.
Not all the apps provide this feature but for those that allow, you can silence those annoying notification and alert sounds in iOS.
Go to Settings -> Notifications
Now tap the app which you want to silence.
Scroll down to Sounds. (if there’s an option)
Switch it off and you’re done.
As stated before, the only problem with this method is that you’ll have to repeat this for every app which you want to be silenced.
