To access the feature, just launch the native iOS camera and start recording a video. As you’re recording, you’ll find a white button in the bottom right-hand corner. To take a phone while recording, just tap that button.
The feature works on all iPhones from the iPhone 5 onwards, but will behave differently on each phone depending on the hardware.
With the iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, and SE, you’ll get the best results, with the ability to shoot an 8-megapixel photo while shooting 4K video. On the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, photos taken while recording video will be 4-megapixel photos.
Do you find the feature useful? When have you used it? Let us know in the comments.
