With the release of Google’s Nexus 7 tablet comes a whole new crop of Android users. Some old, some new, but all anxious to learn about their new shiny device. We’re here to help, and we’d like to show you all there is to know about using your Nexus 7 and Android 4.1.
One common and widely used feature, is the screenshot. It’s used by bloggers, gamers, and everyone in between. Believe it or not, taking a screenshot on an Android device used to be quite the task. Thankfully it has become much easier, and is now baked into the software of devices running Android 4.0 and up.
Now that we have this capability, I’d like to show you how to use it on the Nexus 7. The method for taking a screenshot on the Nexus 7 is the same one used on the Galaxy Nexus.
It’s a simple method requiring you to hold the power button and the volume down button at the same time for approximately 2 seconds. Look below for a brief video describing these steps and then try it out for yourself. I find it a little trickier on the Nexus 7 due to the position of the power and volume buttons (too close together and slightly under the edge), but with a little practice, you’ll be a pro in no time.
As always, we encourage you to check back often for more tips and tricks, on how to use your Android device. Cheers!
