The iPhone 4S feature, a voice controlled system, Siri has been a hit already. Another admirable feature besides Siri is AirPlay Mirroring. It is one of the greatest features of iOS 5 which enables you to mirror your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 screen on the big screen of the second generation Apple TV. What fun would it be to have a huge interface and to be able to access Apps as well as games on the big screen. Most users do not know how to enable AirPlay mirroring.
Whether you need to turn on Airplay Mirroring on iPhone 4S or you need to turn on Airplay mirroring on iPad 2, here is how to get started:
First of all make sure AirPlay is enabled on the Apple TV. For this you need to go into Settings and turn on AirPlay. After having done that, get your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 and follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Make sure that your Apple TV and the iDevice are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Step 2: From your iDevice’s home screen double Tap on the Home Screen. This will bring up the Multitasking Tray.
Step 3: Swipe to the right to bring up the Volume Control and then Tap on the AirPlay Icon.
Step 4: Now switch the source to Apple TV and get access to the mirroring option. Enable to start the streaming.
Enable Airplay Mirroring on iOS 5 and you can use even the Camera or FaceTime on the big screen. However, currently this feature is limited to 2nd Generation Apple TV only.
