It is a very distinctive and familiar sound to many at this point, the electronic clickity-clack of the keyboard on Apple’s iOS powered mobile devices, like your iPad. But what if you just don’t want to hear this noise anymore, how do you turn it off?
Continuing to walk through some of the basics of using your iPad, iPad Air, iPad Mini or similar Apple devices, this, folks, is how you turn off the keyboard noise on your iOS tablet:
Head on into Settings on your device. Just look for the grey gear type icon in your app list.
Once inside Settings, scroll until you find Sounds in the left hand menu.
The Sounds menu will now pop up on the right hand side, scroll your way to the bottom, if needed, and you should find a toggle that reads Keyboard Clicks. Turn it off.
I hope that was as easy as you had imagined it would be.
Go ahead and give it a try, type something and enjoy the silence. Is it too quiet – do you prefer to have the keyboard click sound turned on or off on your Apple iPad?
