Live Blog Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch live blog: Unpacked 2014 Episode 2
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the most hotly anticipated smartphones of the year, along with the iPhone 6, and the wait for it is almost over. Ok, Samsung hasn't outwardly confirmed that it will unveil the Galaxy Note 4 but it's not too hard to work out from the many hints.
Samsung's invite (below) for the event pointed towards a new Galaxy Note 4 with the words "Note the date", plus there have been there have also been various teaser videos and an Unpacked trailer (above) posted online under the heading "Ready to Note".
Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 will take place at IFA 2014, one of the big technology shows on the calendar. It's in Berlin and will kick-off at 3pm local time which is 2pm in the UK. However, there will also be simultaneous events in New York and Beijing.
You're all set for live coverage of the event (we'll embed the feed as soon as it's available) but let look at what to expect.
The Galaxy Note 4, like many smartphones, has been leaked over the last few months. According to the various leaks, the new smartphone will come with a 5.7in screen with a 2K resolution and including features such as a Retina scanner and a UV sensor. There are also whispers of a premium metal design and some kind of flexible display.
It would be unlike Samsung to announce just one product and although it has just confirmed the new Gear Ssmartwatch – which it will no doubt recap on - there are other possibilities for the show. First up is a Gear Round to rival theLG G Watch R andMotorola Moto 360 with their circular faces.
More on the wearable front is expected with the Gear VR headset which will take on theOculus Rift and Sony's Project Morpheus. It's unlikely that Samsung will announce any new tablets but we're not ruling it out. More likely, though, is another large smartphone in the form of the Galaxy Mega 2.
