Sprint’s first Windows Phone 8 handset – the HTC 8XT – is also the first Microsoft-powered device that’s available to order at Ting – one of the newest MVNOs in the US.
According to its product page (found here), the 8XT costs $373 (no contract required). It seems to be offered only in blue at the moment. If you order it now, Ting promises to ship it in 2 to 4 week.
The 8XT looks just like the 4.3 inch HTC 8X that’s been available in the US and around the world for some time now. It has slightly newer features, though, including HTC BoomSound, and a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor.
Ting will also sell a Samsung Ativ Windows Phone 8 handset in the near future, but it’s not yet clear which model it’s going to be.
Starting tomorrow, July 19, customers will be able to get the HTC 8XT from Sprint, too. The third largest US carrier will ask $99.99 for it (on contract, of course).
