HTC isn’t having a good year. The company continues to lose money, its brand has been deemed “worthless,” and its last flagship phone wasn’t exactly a big success. We’re still expecting a new smartphone from the firm later this year. Now we’re getting a peek at what it might look like.
A pair of images claim to show the rumored HTC Aero from the front and back. The device looks shockingly similar to the iPhone 6, which is actually being held up next to it for comparison. The curved edges and antenna lines are identical, though HTC’s rear camera sits in the upper middle instead of the corner.
It’s possible these images aren’t legitimate. There’s been a lot of speculation around HTC’s new phone, so we’d treat the latest leak with suspicion. Still, if the company releases something this close to Apple’s design it may have a lawsuit on its hands.
We’re expecting the HTC Aero to pack a 5.5-inch display, 4GB of RAM and a 10-core processor from MediaTek. Again, we wouldn’t treat these rumors as fact, but hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer before HTC finally unveils its new iPhone… er, smartphone.
