HTC has freshly announced the Android 5.1 update for the One M9 flagship in a handful of new regions. The smartphone is easily one of the most controversial devices in the company’s history, mainly due to the overheating issues that were plaguing the handset during its initial days of availability. But thanks to updates, the company has brought down the issue to some extent although some users claim that it’s still there.
The Android 5.1 update for the HTC flagship has been already rolling out in a wide range of countries, but the manufacturer has now announced that it will start seeding in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) soon, putting an end to the wait of the patient customers. It’s yet to be ascertained if this update is free from bugs, but users will be glad to know that the update has finally arrived.
The good news was shared by the company’s Product and Service Director of EMEA, Graham Wheeler. Bear in mind that the update rollout might differ based on your geographical location.
