TAOYUAN, Taiwan – Along with the HTC One E8, smartphone manufacturer HTC also unveiled its octa-core processor handset HTC Desire 616 for a price of Rs 16,900.
The HTC Desire 616 comes with a 5-inch display having 720p resolution. The handset is powered with MediaTek MT6592 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7GHz along with a Mali 450MP4 GPU for graphics. The memory options of the device include 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory with a 32GB of expandable memory via microSD card slot.
At the back of the device lies an 8MP primary camera offering Full HD video recording at 1080p while its front hosts a 2MP secondary camera. The connectivity options of the device include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. The device runs the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is Dual SIM compatible. Additionally, the smartphone has a Li-Polymer battery with a capacity of 2000mAh.
