TAOYUAN, Taiwan – The HTC Desire 816 was launched in Asian markets in March, and now the device is making its way to Europe, priced at around $400.
However, the smartphone at the moment is available in Romainia only, where it is priced at $405 or 1,299 RON, and is likely to arrive in other European markets soon.
The HTC Desire 816 was launched earlier this year at the MWC 2014 held in Barcelona, and is basically a mid-range smartphone from the Taiwanese maker. It comes with a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB RAM, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, 8GB internal storage with microSD slot for additional expandable memory provision, and a 2600mAh battery. Dimensions-wise, the device measures 7.9mm in thickness.
The HTC Desire 816 is likely to be released in UK and US this month sooner. The US variant may be AT&T branded.
