The HTC Desire Eye was unveiled today at HTC’s Double Exposure event in New York. As it turns out, the “ultimate selfie phone” rumors were true. The HTC Desire Eye is a new flagship phone for the company’s mid=range Desire family – offering a unique design and a front-facing camera with the same resolution as the one of the back. Since the HTC Desire Eye isn’t in the One family, it would be easy to dismiss the phone as “just another mid-range” device from HTC. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
The spec sheet on the HTC Desire Eye puts it on the same level as the HTC One (M8) and if you do find yourself taking a lot of selfies, the Desire Eye may be the best smartphone on the market for you.

Pricing & Availability
HTC has chosen AT&T as its “exclusive launch partner” for the HTC Desire Eye – indicating that we’ll see the new selfie-centric smartphone on other carriers roughly 60 days after it shows up in AT&T stores. AT&T has yet to announce a price for the Desire Eye, but we expect it to sell for $150-$200 with a new two-year contract.
