We’ve already reported that Telstra and Vodafone would release the HTC Evo 3D in Australia, and now both carriers have unveiled exact details regarding the launch.
Vodafone’s Evo 3D will be available starting September 14 (this Wednesday) “for $5 a month” on the “Vodafone $65 Infinite Plan over 24 months (total minimum cost is $1680).”
Telstra’s new Evo will arrive a bit later, namely on September 20. According to the carrier, “customers can purchase the HTC EVO 3D on Telstra’s Freedom Connect Plans including on the $59 Freedom Connect Plan plus $23 per month handset payment, after using an included MRO Bonus (for eligible customers), over 24 months (min cost is $1,968).”
Update: Telstra is actually selling the Evo 3D right now, but only online (here). The handset will arrive in stores on September 20, as mentioned above.
Unlike the LG Optimus 3D (the other 3D smartphone that’s available in Australia via Optus and runs Android 2.2 Froyo), the HTC Evo 3D runs the newer Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also features a 4.3 inch qHD display, Sense UI, 5MP camera with 720p 3D video recording, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
