HTC Evo 4G LTE hunters mark your calendar - Sprint set the release date and price for the impressive new handset.
The HTC Evo 4G LTE - one of the best Android handsets yet - will be available on May 22 for $199 with a two-year contract.
It features a gorgeous 4.7-inch display at 1280 x 720p resolution, powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM.
That power will go into running the latest Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich, with a layer of HTC Sense 4.0 UI on top for added ease of use.
It's also equipped with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera.
The cameras are enhanced by HTC ImageSense software, allowing for faster autofocus and the ability to take continuos shots or capture still frames from video.
Additionally, HTC Evo 4G LTE promises to introduce HD Voice in the U.S. - a technology first introduced in select European markets that improves call quality and clarity.
On the audio front, it's Sprint's first smartphone to feature Beats Audio, which improves sound quality for streaming music, watching videos, and playing games.
Sadly, there is still no date for when Sprint will actually launch its upcoming 4G LTE network to get the most out of your new smartphone.
LTE support is expected to roll out sometime mid-year in select cities Atlanta, Baltimore, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio.
