So you recently bought an HTC One and found yourself wishing it had a stock Android experience. Sure, the HTC Sense 5 UI is quite great, but you’re still a purist at heart. Unfortunately you’re beyond the time frame for returning the device and this new HTC One Nexus Experience has you a little worked up. What to do? According to The Verge, these problems may soon come to pass.
HTC is reportedly “examining” options for providing a stock Android experience for those who bought the first generation of the flagship phone.
Now, this doesn’t mean it is a foregone conclusion and that you’ll be able to tap a button to remove Sense from the device. It’s likely more complicated than this and could still be a ways off. With that said, we are extremely happy to hear that HTC is even considering this as an option.
How do you feel about this? Would you consider flashing a stock Android experience or removing the Sense features from your HTC One? Do you even know what the differences would be? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
