LONDON, UK – Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 began in the UK on March 28, and the HTC One is now available in stores following a delayed launch.
Most carriers in the country are offering the S4 at subsidized pricing with upfront payments as low as £19. Retailers Amazon and Carphone Warehouse are selling the Android smartphone contract-free for £629.95, although shipment may only start beyond the April 26 worldwide release date.
The HTC One is now available in multiple UK retailers (including Carphone Warehouse) and several carriers (EE, Vodafone, O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Three, Talkmobile).
The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch Super OLED screen with a whopping 441 ppi resolution, 2GB of RAM, a removable 2600 mAh battery, 13MP and 2MP cameras, NFC, 4G, and Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface and “Smart” software. One variant features a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU (19505) for markets with 4G LTE while the other features an eight-core Exynos 5 1.6GHz CPU (19500).
The HTC One sports a 4.7-inch, Full HD display, a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, and an Ultrapixel camera that has outstanding low-light capabilities.
