As you can see in the image above, taken by TechTastic during today’s Champions League game between Celtic and Juventus, the HTC One was confirmed as a product name. In fact, that’s the only thing displayed on that electronic billboard right behind the goal there.
Unless it’s a pretty big mistake from the folks responsible for the ads during such Champions League games – the event took place in Glasgow, Scotland – the HTC One must refer to the HTC M7 that’s about to be unveiled.
But why has HTC jumped the gun and started advertising the HTC One? Is it already trying to get potential buyers talking about the unreleased device? Is it already feeling pressure from the Xperia Z and the upcoming Galaxy S4?
Speaking about HTC’s public announcement set for next week, the company decided it’s time to pump up the volume when it comes to HTC One (M7) buzz by posting a teaser image on its Twitter account (see below).
The February 19 announcement of this HTC flagship device has already been spoiled by plenty of leaks and rumors, but we’re definitely going to cover it thoroughly come next week, so keep close!
