European units of the HTC One M7 smartphone are now receiving the Android 5.0.2 update. The update is currently seeding on unlocked models of the handset. The information was given away by renowned HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR on Twitter.
Android 5.0.2 was rolled out to the only One M8 recently, so the delay in sending out the update for the 2013 flagship is understandable.
The HTC One M7 has seen a variety of Android updates since it was launched with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean back in early 2013. The smartphone can be yours for just $149.99 through retailer Best Buy, so make sure you give it a look if you’re interested in snatching up the device for cheap.
Although the unlocked variants are already receiving the said update, it might take some time for American carriers to officially send it out. The developer edition models have received the update early this month as well, so the focus will now be on the carriers to start sending out the update as soon as possible.
