It has been a while since a proper Windows Phone flagship has been released. Microsoft has promised multiple for 2015 which will most certainly be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Last year the HTC One M8, originally an Android device, was relaunched with Windows Phone as the operating system. HTC is expected to do the same this time around after its upcoming flagship is revealed. There are rumors that initially this smartphone might only be exclusive to the United States.
The rumor comes from @upleaks, a Twitter account who has gradually built up a following by providing leaks and inside information. @upleaks’ track record is one of hits and misses.
According to the source HTC One M9 for Windows a.k.a HimaW won’t be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona next month. HimaW is claimed to be a “Windows 10-powered phone,” which is going to sell in the U.S. only.
Last year there was a considerable gap in between the time HTC One M8 came out and when the company released its Windows Phone powered version. @upleaks doesn’t say when the HimaW will be released in the U.S.
HTC One M9 is expected to have a Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB RAM, 20 megapixel rear and 13 megapixel front camera.
