HTC will reportedly roll out the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its latest Android-powered smartphones in late January and early February. The software is expected to reach the original HTC One, the One DualSIM, the One max, and the One mini.
The information comes from @LlabTooFer, a reliable source of information regarding all things HTC, who published the following tweet early this morning:
All new devices such as One,One DualSIM, One max, One mini will get 4.4.2 update in time frame January-February…
The new update is likely to bring HTC’s latest Sense 5.5 user interface to device that aren’t already running it, as well as all the changes and improvements you’d expect from KitKat, including faster multitasking, wireless printing, support for fullscreen apps, and more.
We won’t see Sense 6, however; LlabTooFer says existing devices are likely to get that later on in the year — around late fall.
