Earlier this month HTC unveiled yet another smartphone in their HTC One lineup of devices. That new device is the HTC One ME, which looks to have borrowed design points from both the HTC One E9+ and HTC One M9+. Unfortunately, with that announcement earlier this month came no release date or pricing information, but now the wait for that information is over.
HTC has officially released the HTC One ME into the wild as it just went on sale this afternoon. Although, it is worth pointing out that the One ME is currently only available for purchase in China. So, if you happen to live in China and are thinking about picking up a One ME, here are the impressive specs of the device. It will feature a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, 64-bit 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 20-meagpixel Duo rear-facing camera, 4 Ultrapixel front-facing camera, LTE, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 2,840 mAh battery.
Great specs isn’t the only thing that the HTC One ME has going for it, it has some notable features as well. One of said notable features of the One ME is the front-facing BoomSound speakers, which feature Dolby Surround sound. The device also includes a built-in fingerprint scanner, 4K video recording with dual-LED flash, and dual SIM support. So now it is time to take a quick look at what will be a defining factor for the One ME, the price. If you want to pick one of these things up it is going to cost you 2,999 CYN, which translates to about $485. In reality, that’s not a bad price at all for the specs and features that you are getting with the One ME. It has top of the line specs with features that only top of the line smartphones include. However, as already mentioned, the device is currently limited to sale in China for now. As for, if, or when the device will be released outside of China, there is no official word at the moment.
