The HTC One Mini has gone up for pre-order today in the UK. Those who are interested in being among the first people in the country to get a One Mini can register their intentions at both Clove and Unlocked Mobiles, two well known retailers of SIM-free and unlocked smartphones.
If you’re wondering what you need to pay for the privilege of owning HTC’s smaller (and lesser specced) edition of its flagship smartphone, keep in mind that prices may not be 100% final just yet. Anyway, Unlocked Mobiles is asking for £364.98 for the One Mini, while Clove has priced it at £379.99.
So clearly this is not the most affordable midranger, but it has basically the same looks as its bigger brother, so it definitely has that going for it. Clove doesn’t yet have a purported release date to speak of, but over at Unlocked Mobiles August 12 is listed as the probable shipping date.
That’s in about a couple of weeks, so you don’t have an excruciatingly long waiting period ahead of you if you pre-order today. The HTC One Mini is expected to be out in Germany on August 3, and previously we have heard a rumor that said August 9 was going to be the launch day for the UK. That may still be – perhaps it will simply be just for handsets bought on contract from an operator, whereas SIM-free units might take a few more days to start shipping. We’ll keep you posted.
