In the second half of 2015, we have exclusively covered about the HTC One X9. After several rumors and leaks, the One X9 was officially launched in China in December last year and also showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2016 held last month in Barcelona. Almost after three after making it available in China, HTC is finally bringing the device to the Indian market. Though there is no word on the exact launch date of the device, as of now, it is listed as ‘Coming Soon’ on HTC India’s official website.
While the HTC One A9 is the first device under the new One A series, the HTC One X9 is the first device in the One X series. It comes with a uni-build metal body and sports mid-end specifications. It features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display along with a Gorilla Glass protection on top. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. It has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a MicroSD card slot for expanding upto 2TB.
The device supports dual SIM dual standby and runs on HTC Sense 7.0 UI based on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It sports a13MP rear camera with OIS & f/2.0 aperture that can record videos in 4K resolution. On the front, is the 5MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The cameras on this device support RAW captures that bring more controls to the camera app. The dual front-facing stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound and Dolby Audio can give some great experience on this device.
It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery that is rated to give 15 hours of 3G talk time and 40 hours of music playback. While there is information about the pricing of the device, we expect it to be priced around Rs. 26,000. It measures 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.99 mm and will be available in Opal Silver and Carbon Grey colors in India. Stay tuned for the official launch date and the local pricing of the One X9.
