HTC has just launched the Desire 709d smartphone for the Chinese market hot on the heels of the announcement of the One Max two days ago. As it is being launched in China, the smartphone comes with support for Dual SIM right out of the box. We can expect neighboring regions of China to get the smartphone in the coming months.
The Desire 709d packs a 5 inch 960×540 resolution display, 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM, a quad core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 chip, an 8MP rear camera with a 2.1MP front facing camera, a 2,100 mAh battery and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense UI. The smartphone comes with the iconic BoomSound stereo speakers on the front, much like the HTC One, One Mini and the One Max. There’s no word on pricing or exact availability just yet, but we can expect the handset to reach Chinese retail shelves in a few weeks. With China being the biggest market for smartphones, HTC will look to make a decent impact with the midrange Desire 709d.
