The HTC Sensation with Android 4.0 ICS will arrive this March in white
Usually, when a phone manufacturer launches an old device in a new color, it's just an attempt to push sales of an old design with a slightly boring new twist. The HTC Sensation launched in the middle of last year, so when I heard it was coming this March in white, I thought, "Pfft." However, there is an even bigger twist: it's going to come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
This is pretty good news since I was a huge fan of the original HTC Sensation for T-Mobile. The design is great, and it's got some solid heft in the hand. I'm also a fan of the style of the back casing, and the way that it comes off as one whole piece.
The HTC Sensation in white will launch March 1, and it may be the first HTC device launching with Android 4.0 ICS. It will be interesting to see what HTC plans to do with Sense UI over Ice Cream Sandwich.
For you fans of HTC out there, like myself, a relaunch of a device in a new color couldn't be more exciting.
Other HTC users with Sense UI on their devices need not fret for too long--HTC says that they will be getting the Android 4.0 ICS update "soon."
