What you see in the image below could in fact be Huawei’s next flagship smartphone, the Ascend D3. We’ve been expecting this handset to be announced for quite a while now, given that its predecessor was made official in January of last year. So far though the Chinese company has only unveiled the Ascend P7, its upper-midrange fashion-oriented handset.
That said, the Ascend D3 may finally be introduced in June, if one past rumor is to be believed. Oh, and speaking of believing things – it’s entirely possible that this isn’t the D3, but a different upcoming Huawei smartphone. It could even be a faked image we’re looking at, keep that in mind.
The source of the shot doesn’t know what this is exactly, so we can only speculate that it’s the D3, because it certainly looks like a flagship, with a design that’s a cross between the HTC One line and some newer touchscreen-only BlackBerry handsets. Very small bezels appear to be used, and that’s all we can tell you for now, since nothing else about the Huawei Ascend D3 has been leaked this time around.
Past mumblings, however, spoke of it coming with a 1.8 GHz octa-core in-house developed CPU, a 16 MP rear camera, and a 1080p Full HD touchscreen.
