The Huawei Ascend P7 is real and it’s on the way soon, so all that remains is to see some real great high resolution photos of the device from every angle before it launches. We’ll also likely see the phone in all its glory during the announcement that is scheduled to take place early next month. Until then, we can at least take a peek at some of the awesome looking images that have been posted up showing off the devices chassis, which by the looks of things is made of metal with a nice brushed finish on the side edges. The images get leaked via Weibo, the Chinese social network that we tend to get many image leaks from, usually of devices that are manufactured by the Chinese OEMs and bound for the Chinese market.
Following in the footsteps of the Ascend P6, the Ascend P7 will be a decently large device, and come with a screen size of 5-inches according to the rumors. Although, the images depict a slightly larger screen, but perhaps it’s just the angle and the fact that I’ve been staring at a monitor all day. Other rumors suggest that the Ascend P7 will come with 2GB of RAM and a quad-core processor, most likely also manufactured by Huawei. We could be looking at a 13MP camera on the back with an 8MP camera on the front for video chat and selfies, and storage wise the P7 is rumored to come with 16Gb. We have to wonder if Huawei will offer any other size options regarding the storage space.
The image leaks don’t show us very much, but you can gather bits and pieces from them, like the volume rocker that is clearly displayed in the last image, above what look like either the SIM and memory card slots, or dual-SIM slots. In between those, we see what could be either a power button or a dedicated camera key for easy access to snapping photos. From what we can see the device looks pretty slick, and we’re digging the brushed metal finish on the sides. Would you buy this phone if it became available in your region?
