SHENZEN, China – Huawei has shifted the upper gear in its tablet portfolio and will be launching the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth 2 in the entry-level segment.
The tab market is getting more and more crowded as a large number of tech companies participate in the global competition with their own tablet devices. This affordable tablet is one alternative for consumers.
Just like its first version, the MediaPad 7 Youth 2 sports a metallic frame, a 7-inch display with 1024×600 pixels in resolution. The device works on Android 4.3 Jelly bean and Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.6. Additionally, the tablet has HSPA+(21 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and A-GPS.
The tablet has a 3MP rear and VGA front-facing camera, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage with microSD support, and a 4100mAh battery based on what Huawei calls its “patented power-saving tech and the Dynamic Power Management system”.
Huawei focused further light on its processor saying that the MediaPad 7 Youth 2 has a quad-core 1.2GHz MSM8x12 A7 – that’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (either the 8612, or the 8212 model).
