The Chinese smartphone maker, Huawei launched the high-end MediaPad M2 10.0 tablet at the CES 2016 event back in January. Recently, a new tablet from the brand with model number Huawei PLE-703L has passed through TENAA certification and is expected to be launched soon. Now, the company has silently announced a new tablet called as Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro. The tablet is currently listed on the company’s official website with decent mid-range features and is expected to go on sale soon.
Coming to the specifications part, the Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro comes with a 10.1-inch (1920×1080 pixels) WUXGA display that offers a pixel density of 224ppi. Under the hood, it comes powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory. The tablet runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, and there is no information about the Android Marshmallow update.
On the camera section, the device comes equipped with an 8MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie lovers. It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB 2.0 port. The tablet will also be available in Wi-Fi only variant depending on the markets.
The tablet powers a massive 6660mAh battery that can easily take you through a couple of days of mixed usage. It feels rich in hand with a metallic frame around its sides and comes in Pearl White and Charcoal Black color options. The dimensions of the device measure 259.1 x 156.4 x 8.5 mm and weighs around 495 grams. The company is yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of the Huawei MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro tablet, and once launched will be a good alternative for various other options available on the market. A quick recall, Huawei has recently launched its much awaited Huawei P9 and P9 Plus smartphones priced at $630 & $770 respectively at an event held in London. Both the smartphones feature dual 12MP rear cameras with Leica lenses dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus, and f/2.2 aperture. For amazing photographic experience, the smartphones also have an independent depth measurement chip, hybrid focus technology, full manual control, and RAW support. The Huawei P9 features 5.2-inch 1080p display, Kirin 955 SoC, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of storage and 3000mAh battery. On the other hand, the P9 Plus has a 5.5-inch full-HD display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and 3400mAh battery.
