Chinese tech giant Huawei has unwrapped what looks to be a strong competitor to the Nexus 7, a 7-inch Android tablet called the Huawei MediaPad X1 7.0.
The lightweight slate sports a high res 1,920 x 1,200 display, weighs only 8.4 ounces and is 0.3 inch thick. It also supports 3G connectivity. Oddly, it's being announced with the older Android 4.2, not the latest 4.4 "KitKat" release.
It's also not clear when or if the device will make it to the U.S. and at what price.
