The iConvert Scanner from Brookstone was specially crafted for Apple’s iPad. This new gadget features an adjustable front feeder from 2 to 8½ inches wide, allowing the user to scan clear images with its high-resolution of 300 DPI. The iConvert scanner was designed to be a user-friendly device; simply place your iPad into the iCovert scanner docking port, and you are ready to scan.
The iConvert is capable of scanning everything from family photos to greeting cards, and also other office related materials such as signed documents and digital e-copies of receipts or reports. The scanned documents and images can be saved to your photo library, which can then be emailed, tweeted, or edited using other third-party apps from Apple’s App Store.
The accessory offers a real-time preview as the items are being processed through the feeder and scanner. It has an OAR app, which users have to install on their iOS devices in order to take advantage of its features. The app will be available for free at the iTunes App Store.
The iConvert scanner dock is compatible with both the first-generation iPad and the iPad 2, and will sold in stores and online this February for $149.99 dollars.
