Popular vector drawing and illustration app iDraw, from Indeeo, was recently updated to iDraw 1.3, a major improvement that adds Retina display support to the new iPad, plus a newly redesigned interface and all new tools.
On top of Retina support, iDraw now includes shape libraries, layer blend modes, new drawing gestures, improved Dropbox integration, and several other improvements to existing features.
iDraw is a vector design app that is on par with traditional desktop illustration apps, like Adobe Illustrator. With the array of tools in the app, plus the iPad’s increased usability, it’s possible to create amazing illustrations, technical diagrams, photo montages, and more with this app.
With the new built-in shape libraries, users can create a variety of different designs, from floor plans to iPhone mockups. By adding their own libraries with custom shapes, iDraw users can now reuse the same shapes to quickly create new designs.
An improved SVG import and export allows iDraw to work with other illustration applications. You can import and edit designs created in other vector applications by exporting the designs to SVG, and edit designs created in iDraw by exporting those as SVG or PDF.
With these improvements, iDraw is the most feature-rich vector illustration application available on the iPad. Want to give it a try? You can download iDraw from the App Store for $8.99.
