With IFA 2014 ready to get started next week, leaks of devices expected to launch should be no surprise. The latest images to surface appear to show the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 which is expected to be officially announced by Huawei at their September 4th event.
The images seem to confirm what the fingerprint on Huawei’s invitations suggested, that the device will come with a fingerprint scanner as seen on the back panel. The front of the device shows Huawei is ready to go with some very thin bezels for this product. That should help a little bit with the size of the device since the Ascend Mate 7 is expected to have a 6-inch screen. We still do not know whether Huawei will release two variants, one with a standard HD screen running at 1920 x 108 and another version with a quad HD screen running at 2560 x 1440 resolution. If there are two versions, it is expected that both will be driven by Huawei’s own Kirin 920 octa-core processor.
