A new report from 9to5Mac claims there is evidence that Apple is working on three major updates for iOS 8 (iOS 8.1, iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3) for release sometime in the coming months.
The report cites the website's own analytics report which shows that it has been visited by iOS 8.1, iOS 8.2, and iOS 8.3 device users. It also cites data from an unnamed "major hardware-connected iOS application" which shows that those three iOS 8 updates are in testing at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California.
Exactly what those three updates will contain is unknown at this point, although it makes sense that one of them will help iO8 6 devices support the upcoming Apple Watch. It's also possible that iOS 8.1 could be for the launch of Apple Pay, which is due for release in October. It's worth noting that the last time Apple released three big updates for iOS was for iOS 4.
Do you think Apple needs to speed up releases of new iOS versions in between major upgrades to the operating system?
