Apple just announced the pricing and the launch date for the iPad Air 2, its brand new tablet that was unveiled during a press event in Cupertino, California on Thursday. The iPad Air 2 is the thinnest tablet on the planet, according to Apple. It will run iOS 8.1 out of the box and sports Touch ID, a new A8X processor, 802.11 ac Wi-Fi, support for plenty of LTE bands and more. Apple will sell the device starting at $499 with 16GB of storage. 32GB of storage will cost $599 and 128GB will cost $699. Apple will accept pre-orders for the iPad Air 2 starting tomorrow and will ship it by the end of next week.
