Remember Facebook Graffiti? For a while, it was one of the best features Facebook had, before it got lost in the myriad changes the social network has undergone in the last few years. It looks like the same style might be coming in vogue again on the iPad, thanks to Doodle.ly.
Doodle.ly is a new sketchpad app for the iPad that emphasizes quick, rough sketches and messages that can be shared quickly over social networks. The examples given on the Doodle.ly website are definitely evocative of the old Facebook favorite. Simple pen, pencil, marker, and highlighter tools allow for finished products that look like hand-drawn sketches. There’s also a big emphasis on social sharing – upon opening the app, you’ll see new doodles from your friends and from featured users across the world.
You can get on with your sketching and doodling for absolutely nothing, too. Doodle.ly is available now for free on the iTunes App Store.
