Although Apple’s starter iPhone 4S pricing in Australia of $799 for its 16GB model is a quite high, the same pattern continues with the other models. While Apple’s own site originally suggested iPhone 4S pre-orders would open on October 7 in Australia, it has now been declared that the pre-orders are to be from October 8.
The 4S will debut on October 14. Australia is all set for the release; the Australian users are to get their hands on the device as early as next week, along with customers in the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Germany and Japan.
The Australian Apple store has been updated. The iPhone 4S will cost $799 for 16GB, $899 for 32GB and $999 for 64GB outright.
The Apple iPhone 4S will be sold by all three major Australian telcos: Telstra, Optus and Vodafone. The iPhone 4S will also be sold outright through Apple’s Retail Stores, including the newly opened Penrith and Hornsby stores in New South Wales and through online store.
