A source told 9To5Mac that at least one of the taller iPhone test models being internally tested match well with the iPhone 5 leaked part. In what seems to be an indication of even more confirmations received, the iPhone 5 leaked part has definitely generated enough interest in the larger iPhone now.
iPhone 5 features, stemming from the leaked parts, have been quite impressive so far. A larger speaker, a smaller dock connector pin, larger screen / display with enhanced resolution, and a central-FaceTime camera are some of the features that are being spoken of.
The confirmation from 9To5Mac is credited to a source who seems to be in one of the teams testing new iPhone 5 models and the “taller” reference does confirm that Apple is looking at a larger display now.
We had earlier reported about the iPhone 5 leaked parts and the iPhone schematic by iLab, which matched very well with the leaked parts. All this go on to prove that Apple definitely has made the jump to the 4-inch display now.
Yet, despite all these happenings, what’s still under review is the iPhone 5 release date. We have a late 2012 rumor for the iPhone 5 release date, but none of that is confirmed. It is hardly possible that Apple would make any reference to the device at the WWDC 2012, but with Apple, surprises can always spring up.
