September is upon us, and that means we’re just days away from the September 10th iPhone event, and the expected unveiling of the iPhone 5S & 5C. With that in mind, Apple and their suppliers are getting their ducks in a row to have the new iPhones ready to be sold starting on the expected launch date of September 20th. The result is that there will be some product leaks, and over the weekend, a number of photos have been posted of the iPhone 5C in complete packaging as it will appear on store shelves.
The most interesting thing to note is that the 5C is packaged like the current iPod touches with a clear top that lets the device show through. What is showing through is also noteworthy as each of the different colored devices have a matching home screen sticker. The photos show the blue, red, yellow, and white devices, and each one has a corresponding iOS 7 home screen with the plastic backing color matching the home screen background. The photos also include the manual that will be included with the low cost iPhone. What we think we know now is that the iPhone 5C will include the iPhone 5 internals of an A6 chip, 8-megapixel camera, and 4” retina display along with a colored plastic back that should retail for $400-$500 without contract.
The new images really make these devices look good, and it just a few weeks until what’s in these images will be on store shelves.
