Apple’s new variants for iPhone 5 – iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c – will become available in South Africa on the 15th of November, as confirmed by local network operator Vodacom.
Both new phones share some features with the original one, and go beyond it. The iPhone 5s is dubbed as the most forward-thinking smartphone to date, while 5c is called as the most colorful iPhone yet.
Apple iPhone 5s with a 4-inch Retina display is designed to be a complete entertainment system. The phone is powered by iOS 7 and runs on latest A7 chipset.
This device features Touch ID which recognizes the fingerprint of the user to unlock itself. iPhone 5s is equipped with an 8MP iSight camera has autofocus, takes better and faster pictures in the most natural color possible, according to the manufacturer. This phone will be available in gold, silver and space grey, and come with cases in six colors – black, blue, yellow, red, brown and beige.
The Apple iPhone 5c runs on an A6 processor and has the same 4-inch Retina display touchscreen. The phone is designed in a beautiful polycarbonate cases that can be chosen from within six colors. This one, like the 5s, is loaded with 8MP iSight camera.
The battery life for both these phones is improved with each of the phones’ performance enhanced considerably for all features including Control Center, Notification Center, multitasking, Safari, Siri, AirDrop and iTunes Radio.
The Apple iPhone 5s and 5c both support up to 13 LTE wireless brands, and sold more than nine million units in their first weekend of sales.
