Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 6 in a mere matter of hours. We are expecting to see two versions of the new handset, one with a 4.7in display and another with a 5.5in screen.
The new battery for the 5.5in version of the handset has now leaked onto the internet in a new video courtesy of French website NoWhereElse. The video shows the battery pack that states a 2,915mAh capacity. Many phablets use around the 3,000mAh mark for their battery cells.
Apple does have some impressive hardware to software synergy that allows the battery to work better than on other handsets, it’s likely this tech will apply to the iPhone 6 phablet as well.
Watch the video down below; the images are accompanied by a strange electro soundtrack, just to keep your attention whilst there’s some images of the new thinner battery pack.
It’s currently unclear what the iPhone 6 5.5in version will be called, we’ve heard it may be called the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone Air or the even the iPhone 6L.
So far we know there will be an A8 chipset involved in both versions of the iPhone 6, plus we naturally expect to see iOS 8 software on board as well. It’s also heavily rumoured there will be an integrated payments system on the iPhone 6, similar to that of a contactless payment card.
Rumours are suggesting Apple will also show off its iWatch wearable later today as well. Be sure to head back to KYM at 6PM BST later today to learn all about the new iPhone 6.
