Apple will not unveil the iPhone 6s for a few months, but the first rumors detailing Apple’s next smartphones are already hitting the web. The new iPhones will bring at least one new feature that’s not available on any of the existing iPhones, although this new feature isn’t exactly going to be a complete surprise since Apple is already using it in a few products.
According to the Taiwanese publication, the same companies that supply Force Touch sensors for the Apple Watch will also make sensors for next-gen iPhones. Apple is still experimenting with Force Touch-related designs, Digitimes has learned. Apparently, the sensor can be placed between the outermost protective screen cover and the in-cell touch panel, or beneath the touch panel backlight layer, with the second being the most likely choice for the iPhone 6s.
