Surprise, surprise: following reports yesterday that the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and the presumed iPhone 7 Pro have entered manufacturing, a new report on Tuesday tells us when we can expect them to ship.
According to DigiTimes, Apple’s manufacturing partners are gearing up to ship the new iPhones by the end of the third quarter, otherwise known as the end of September. The report suggests that Wistron and Foxconn are building the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 7 while Pegatron an Foxconn will control manufacturing of the 4.7-inch model. The so-called “Pro” version, which likely has a 5.5-inch display, wasn’t mentioned.
September is, of course, the month when Apple typically unveils and begins selling its new iPhones, so this report isn’t incredibly surprising.
